perched unnoticed on a bridge support, i heard a truck pull up and two men proceeded to quickly unload a black bear and throw it in the river.


these were rangers, employed by the province to “destroy” food-conditioned and aggressive bears. unfortunately the paperwork following
such an incident is so onerous, it’s easier to just dump an entire fucking animal in the river than put it to any sort of practical use.
this is more gruesome than poaching.
